The Soap Tribune, Issue #148--live kitchen update
October 27, 2022
A live kitchen updateAs I harvest this years local bounty, I updated my Live Kitchen article with a whole bunch of photos. These are simple things you can do in your own kitchen.
I'm aiming for the Live Kitchen. Happy Home. course to be ready this Winter, after all of the Fall holidays have been celebrated and enjoyed.
Apple PieI think apple is my all time favorite. It's a staple in our house. The apples this year are tasty and delicious. Ithaca has a lot of talented apple growers.
Click the link below for my simple apple pie recipe.
Come to the Ithaca Farmers Market to get apples while they last. Say hello to us in booth 6.
Clean up after petsAs the sun sets earlier, my chickens are spending more time in the coop at night, with means a little bit more cleanup in the mornings every day.
My cats are beginning to stay indoors a little bit more, too.
How to clean your stovetop using zero waste methodsWhen the weather is hot and steamy, like Us Northeast Summers can be, I make more raw foods, and live on salads. As temperatures drop, I cook more and plan my baking to make the house toasty warm and cozy.
Small business rocks!Greenstar Coop in Ithaca now carries the Instant Liquid Soap! WooHoo. If you are a Greenstar shopper, look for it.
18 in 1 soap plus a whole lot moreThe Instant Liquid Soap is very versatile. Here's the short list of uses.
You can dilute the Instant Liquid soap to different strengths and use it for different purposes. The Instant Liquid Soap is great for:

My bees worked hard this summer dealing with drought and high temperatures. They only made 1 round of honey instead of the usual 2. They've been slowing down these past few weeks, looking for those last bits of pollen and going back to the hives early.
Be nice to your bees. They take care of your food supply.
