Orange Essential Oil

There are 3 varieties of orange essential oil produced on a commercial level: Sweet, bitter, and blossom.

Sweet orange essential oil comes from the common fruit peel. It is rich in vitamins A,B and C.

Sweet orange is blended in our signature LiXTiK Beeswax clementine lip balm. It is known for uplifting your mood and for being a mild aphrodisiac. High in naturally occurring anti-oxidant Vitamin E from organic sunflower oil, your lips will be relieved for many hours.

Scented with lavender and orange essential oils

When I first started making and selling soap, I quickly gathered regular customers at a little farmers market I did for a season while I perfected the soap recipe. It needed to have many qualities that I wanted.

Rinses off well
Leaves you feeling clean, instead of chemically scoured
Correctly perfumed, meaning not too much, but not to light either.

The perfume needed to be completely pleasing. I needed to feel uplifted from the aromatherapy quality of the 100% water processed essential oils, instead of mildly poisoned from synthetic fragrances. Happy.

One day a regular soap user asked me to combine lavender and orange. It hadn't occurred to me, but I said I'd give it a try and made a batch. Lavender Orange Bar Soap been in our top 9 soaps since then.

The lavender orange combination is light and fruity, with bottom notes of our exquisite Bulgarian lavender. It's a perfumed breeze from a flower garden wafting in to your shower.

Patchouli Tangerine

Blend our beautiful patchouli with sweet orange, and you get Ithaca Soap Patchouli Tangerine. I initially combined patchouli with our sweet orange essential oil to make it more appealing to Andy. I come from a patchouli loving family and he thought he was not fond of patchouli. But he loves orange, so the combination seemed to make sense to me for practical purposes. It turns out that it's loved by many.

Patchouli is an earthy, woody aroma. Combined with orange it's lightened up with sweet top notes.
